1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account & Contact Data: Email address.
• Uploaded Visual Media (Sensory Data): Photos you upload to create a custom coloring product.
• Order & Delivery Data: your name, shipping and billing address, and phone number (the printer and carrier need these to deliver your book), plus what you ordered. Card details go straight to our payment processor; we never see or store them.

B. Automatically Collected Data

• Usage & Diagnostic Data: IP address, browser type and version, device identifier, operating system, page visit timestamps, and duration.
• Essential Cookies: We use strictly necessary session cookies solely for user authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, web beacons, or advertising pixels.

2. How We Process Your Photos & AI Use

• Artwork Generation: Your uploaded photos are processed using automated image-processing tools to convert them into coloring page outlines.
• Biometric Clarification: We process photos solely to generate artistic renderings for use in your coloring book product. We do not extract, analyze, or retain facial recognition data, faceprints, or biometric identifiers (as defined under CCPA/CPRA, BIPA, or related privacy regulations).
• Improving Our Artwork: If the option in the preview step is on (it starts on in the US and off in the UK), we keep your photos and the pages made from them to test and improve our line art. They stay in our own storage and are never sold or used to train public models. You can switch it off for any book before you preview it, and ask us to delete them at any time.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

These are our firm promises on our own storage; a vendor's own copy of your data (once it has left our systems) is governed by that vendor's policy, not this one.

An unpurchased draft, and every file that belongs to it, will be deleted 12 months after your last access to it; last access meaning you signed in, reopened it, edited it, or added it to your cart.

Once a book has been ordered at least once, its print files are retained for reorder and account history.

If you discard a draft, its files are deleted 12 months after the discard; this clock does not reset even if your account stays active.

Closing your account is permanent and removes your personal data, with statutory and financial records (see below) held back.

If you share a book, the people you share it with can save their own copy. That copy keeps the book’s line art and, if you chose to show your original photos, those photos, and it stays in their account even after you discard the book or close your account.

If you share a book, we store the email address of each person you invite, so we can send them the invitation and check that the person opening the link is the one you invited.

Order and payment records (orders, order items, print records, refunds, and order history) are kept as business and financial records.

Data erased from our live systems can remain in our routine backups for up to 7 days before it is gone from those too.

4. Information Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with service providers bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements:

• Cloud Infrastructure Providers: To store and host image files securely.
• AI Processing APIs: To render line-art transformations on our behalf.
• Payment & Print Providers: To process payment and produce and ship a physical order.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by a valid subpoena, court order, or applicable law.

• Sale or Sharing of Personal Data: We have not sold or shared (for cross-context behavioral advertising) any personal information in the preceding 12 months.
• Your California Rights: You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of any future sale/sharing. Exercise these rights by emailing support@yourstocolor.com.

6. UK Privacy Rights (UK GDPR)

This section applies if you are located in the United Kingdom. Yours to Color LLC is the data controller for personal data collected through our Service.

Why We Use Your Data & Our Legal Basis

• To process and fulfill your order: We use your order details, photos, name, and shipping address to create your personalized book, manage your account, and process payment. (Legal Basis: Performance of a Contract)
• To store photos for artwork improvement: If you opt in, we retain your uploaded images to help train and refine our artwork systems. (Legal Basis: Consent, which you may withdraw at any time)
• To protect and maintain our Service: We monitor platform use to keep our site secure and prevent fraud or abuse. (Legal Basis: Legitimate Interests)
• To comply with legal duties: We maintain transactional, accounting, and tax records as required by law. (Legal Basis: Legal Obligation)

International Data Transfers

Yours to Color LLC is located in the United States. Your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US, where our main servers and service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border transfers in accordance with UK GDPR requirements (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement). UK orders are printed and dispatched locally by our UK print partners.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to certain processing, or receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, or to withdraw consent for photo retention, please email us at support@yourstocolor.com. We will respond to your request within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures (including transport encryption) to safeguard your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
